FORT HOOD, Texas — The III Armored Corps and Fort Hood is hosting its innovative “Human Capital Week” Oct. 25 - 29 at the III Armored Corps headquarters and the People First Center here to highlight leading research influencing People First programs and initiatives at Fort Hood and the Army.

Additionally, the events during the week will strive to improve human resources capabilities and focus on unit readiness and the eradication of harmful behaviors from the Army’s formations.

“The sessions will focus on exploring talent management, manning readiness, and People First initiatives, among others,” according to III Armored Corps human resources personnel. “Together we will strengthen our ability to build and maintain inclusive, cohesive, and disciplined teams.”

The corps is bringing together leaders from across the Army and academia for the week, with such leaders coming from the Department of the Army Headquarters, human resource professionals from across the Army, and military and civilian experts in the fields of trust, leadership, resiliency, equal opportunity, sexual harassment and assault prevention, and more.

A few highlights of the week include the People First Welcome Summit, People First Senior Leader Orientation, and panels on Military Spouse Resiliency, Readiness, Talent Management, Women in Leadership, and a variety of others.
