FORT HOOD, Texas – Retired Army Col. Ralph M. Hockley, Holocaust survivor, will share his experiences as the guest speaker for the Days of Remembrance observance hosted by Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center and III Corps and Fort Hood Equal Opportunity Offices, April 12 from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at Phantom Warrior Center.

When he was a child, Hockley and his German-Jewish family escaped the Nazis, and he eventually came full circle, working as a counterintelligence agent in the de-Nazification program to identify Nazis after the war.

Days of Remembrance/Victims of the Holocaust observances are held annually across the nation to pay tribute to the millions of Jewish and non-Jewish victims subjected to Nazi persecution before and during World War II.

Media wishing to cover the ceremony will need to RSVP with CRDAMC Public Affairs by sending an email to: [email protected] or call 254- 338-6087 by 5 p.m. April 11.
