The First Team hosts “CAV Week” from Sept. 12 through Sept. 16 in celebration of the division’s 101st Birthday.

Next week, the 1st Cavalry Division will host a variety of events across Fort Hood, Texas to commemorate its birthday and to build camaraderie around the heritage of the First Team. Events will include a division run, sports competitions, a cake cutting ceremony, a parade and interactive displays. We would also like to invite visitors to take a tour through the newly unveiled Heritage Hall located inside the division headquarters building, to learn more about the rich history of the division.
