FORT HOOD, Texas — The 13th Expeditionary Sustainment Command will host a memorial wreath laying ceremony Sept. 27 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the 13th ESC Memorial on Hildner Field.

As part of their 54th birthday celebration which began Sept. 24, the wreath laying ceremony will honor the 115 Soldiers who lost their lives in defense of the nation while serving with 13th ESC since 9/11.

Attending media will meet an at the Fort Hood Visitors Center in the media parking area no later than 10 a.m. on Sept. 27.

13th Expeditionary Sustainment Command’s Commanding General, Brig. Gen. Darren L. Werner, along with Pfc. Jada Williams, Chaplain (Lt. Col.) Brian Palmer and Sgt. Maj. Erick Detrich, cut the birthday cake Sept. 24. The 13th ESC’s birthday week helps bring together the Soldiers, leaders, families and community members who support the 13th ESC and also gives everyone involved the opportunity to celebrate the unit’s rich heritage and honor those who have served in the organization.
