III Corps CSM to retire after 34 years

Schroeder takes responsibily for III Corps enlisted

FORT HOOD, Texas -- Command Sgt. Maj. Arthur L. Coleman Jr. will hand over the duties and responsibilities of the III Corps command sergeant major to Command Sgt. Maj. Scott C. Schroeder during a change of responsibility ceremony 9 a.m. Aug. 29 on Sadowski Field outside the III Corps Headquarters here.

Coleman, who has served as the III Corps command sergeant major since Sept. 22, 2009, will retire after more than 34 years of service to his country.

Schroeder comes to III Corps and Fort Hood from Fort Campbell, Ky., where he served as the command sergeant major for the 101st Airborne Division.

Media who wish to cover the ceremony must register here. The gate time is 8:15 a.m. at the southside parking lot for the Fort Hood Visitor's Center.
