FORT HOOD, Texas – Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center (CRDAMC) will celebrate the 116th Army Nurses Corps anniversary at 1 p.m. on Feb. 3 at the main hospital.

Maj. Gen. Barbara Holcomb, Commanding General Medical Research and Materiel Command and Fort Detrick; Chief of the U.S. Army Nurse Corps, will be the guest speaker.

The anniversary celebration themed, “ANC leading readiness and professional practice: getting it done since 1901,” will include the presentation of the Daisy Award for extraordinary nurses and a cake cutting ceremony.

About 600 active duty, reserve, and civilian nurses currently serve throughout Fort Hood’s health readiness platform.
