FORT HOOD, Texas — Leaders from the 1st Cavalry Division’s 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team “Blackjack” will conduct a welcome home ceremony and uncase their brigade colors during a ceremony scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 25 at 9 p.m. on Cooper Field here.

This is the final flight of Blackjack Troopers to arrive from Korea after their rotation there.

Blackjack Troopers are returning to Fort Hood after a nine-month rotation on the Korean peninsula, where they worked and trained side-by-side with their Republic of Korea Army counterparts.

Their mission was threefold: to deter North Korean aggression, increase combat readiness, and strengthen the U.S. and Republic of Korea alliance.
